School Tweet

SchoolTweet is a micro-blogging service for schools. SchoolTweet helps members of school communities - parents, staff, governors and students - to keep in touch.

If you register for an account, you can post small (140 chars or less) text notices about yourself, where you are, what you're doing, or practically anything you want. You can also subscribe to the notices of people you're interested in, and follow them on the Web or in an RSS feed.

Schools can create their own groups, which their parents or pupils can become members of.  A great way to communicate with a targetted audience with just one 'Tweet'.
